How Can We Help?

Auto Accidents

More than 2 million Americans are injured in car accidents every year (cdc.gov). Even though auto accidents are common, they can leave lives and families permanently devastated. You may have questions when you or a loved one are seriously injured in a car accident, let us help you! Insurance companies and medical facilities may make a traumatizing life event even more stressful than it has to be. We will advocate for you, assisting with the claims process, handling medical expenses on your behalf, lost wages, property damages, and more.

At Lozoya Law, we represent honest people to get fair compensation. We do not take every case, and we do not “quick flip” cases just to pay for an absurd advertising budget. If you want personal service, with compassion and understanding from real people, we are your firm. We handle all injury cases from start to finish, thoroughly and wholeheartedly, always putting our clients first!

Traumatic Brain Injury

Accident victims often don’t realize they may have a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) if they do not have an obvious head wound or are not incapacitated. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in 2020 there were more than 220,000 TBI-related hospitalizations (CDC).  There are three types of TBI ranging from Mild, Moderate, and severe. TBI can happen to anyone, at any age, with the elderly being the most likely to become incapacitated. The leading causes of TBI are falls, nursing home neglect, motor vehicle accidents, physical assault, workplace accidents, and firearms. TBIs can lead to serious complications, such as blood clots and second-impact syndrome. A TBI can present in many different ways and may worsen over time, or even go unnoticed at first. Symptoms can vary widely from person to person and can be mistaken for other illnesses. Some of the common TBI symptoms are Headache, nausea, dizziness and balance problems, fatigue, vision changes, confusion, short or long-term memory loss, nervousness, insomnia, and even personality changes including increased irritation.

When a TBI may be involved, we encourage diligent journalling of individual symptoms or involving a loved one in the journal process to observe behaviors you may not recognize. We always suggest close follow-up with your physician, we are not medical doctors after all! If you or a loved one were injured in an accident by no fault of your own you need a team that understands the complexity of these injuries and will fight for your future.

Pedestrian & Bicycle

Pedestrians struck by vehicles are oftentimes more devastating than if you were in a vehicle when struck. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately every 75 minutes, a pedestrian is killed as the result of a motor vehicle crash (cdc.gov). The recklessness of another may leave you with questions regarding medical bills, the claims process, insurance coverage, lost wages, and the future.

With urban development and increased bike lanes, bicycles are becoming a popular mode of transportation. Even with increased safety with bike lanes many motorists still do not share the road with bicyclists. When a motorist is careless or reckless and causes injury to a bicyclist they need to be held responsible for compensating the victim. Unfortunately, the burden falls on the victim, or their families to pursue a claim. This is often difficult when you are coping with serious injuries or the death of a loved one.

At Lozoya Law, we understand the complexities that come with these serious collisions and are prepared to guide you through what could be the most traumatizing part of your life. We believe in making the world a safer place, by investigating and prosecuting serious injury cases. We believe in honest and personal communication every step of the way. Let us worry about the insurance companies so you can focus on healing.

Trucking Accidents

Semi, big rig, tractor-trailer, 18-wheeler, whatever you call them, we have all shared the road with these extra-large vehicles. Extra-large vehicle crashes lead to extra-large injuries and obstacles. While victim(s) are treating and healing, the insurance carriers of the commercial vehicle have already hired an attorney, some even showing up to accident scenes to participate in the investigation. These insurance companies and their attorneys can be intimidating and pushy, after all, they have a bottom line, and you are just a claim number. You need an attorney that will not be intimidated, an attorney to advocate for fair compensation on your behalf. We see you as a person and will provide personal service and communication from day one.

Commercial vehicles often travel between states and require much larger insurance policies. There are many types of insurance coverages and subtypes. These can be different for the cab of the truck, the chassis, and the box they are hauling. These vehicles also typically have “black boxes” and other data recorders that are not available without litigation. We are familiar with the unique obstacles that trucking accidents have and are prepared to fight for our clients.

Dog Bite

Dog attacks are oftentimes unexpected, when “man’s best friend” becomes dangerous in the blink of an eye. Nobody wants to admit that their dog can inflict such devastation, in fact, most attacks are preventable. Even if a dog bite seems minor, the risk of rabies is real and it can be fatal if left untreated. No matter how small the wound, you should always see a physician and report the incident to the proper authorities.

In addition to possible rabies exposure, secondary bacterial infection, and post-traumatic stress disorder, dog bites could also cause:
